Can you imagine a government official making this statement these days? If Mr. Jefferson could say that today, he'd be branded a radical conservative extremist threat by Bill, Hillary, and their socialist friends and he would probably be arrested for advocating the violent overthrow of the government. Too bad we don't have more courageous Thomas Jeffersons to fight against the government's planned demonization, disarmament and criminalization of otherwise law-abiding citizens.

POLITICAL OPINION:
IT'S BEEN SAID BEFORE AND WITH MUCH GREATER ELOQUENCE THAN I POSSESS, BUT I WILL SAY IT SIMPLY AND SUCCINCTLY. THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES GUARANTEES EACH CITIZEN THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. UNFORTUNATELY, OUR CONGRESS HAS SEEN FIT TO SLOWLY BUT SURELY REMOVE THESE RIGHTS FROM OUR CITIZENS. THE 1986 MACHINE GUN BAN AS WELL AS THE 1994 ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN HAVE BOTH ERODED OUR CONSTITUTIONALLY RECOGNIZED RIGHTS TO GUN OWNERSHIP. THE 1994 LAWS BAN THOSE GUNS WHICH "LOOK DANGEROUS". THE 1994 BAN ALSO LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO THOSE LAWS PASSED BY ADOLPH HITLER IN PRE-WAR GERMANY. IN A SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPON, YOU CAN HAVE A REMOVABLE MAGAZINE AND NO MORE THAN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING 1) BAYONET LUG (DRIVE-BY BAYONETTINGS ARE WAY OUT OF HAND) 2) FLASH SUPPRESSOR 3) GRENADE LAUNCHER 4) PISTOL GRIP 5) FOLDING STOCK. IT ESCAPES ME HOW ADDING A PISTOL GRIP, BAYONET LUG, FOLDING STOCK AND FLASH SUPPRESSOR MAKES THE WEAPON ANY THE MORE DANGEROUS. STATISTICS CLEARLY SHOW THAT GUN CRIME IS COMMITED BY CRIMINALS.... AND I GUESS TO SOME THAT IS ROCKET SCIENCE.
